ABOUT ME

Cassandra Stanford (she/her) is a Melbourne-based performing musician and Registered Music Therapist.

Cassandra studied her Master of Music Therapy at The University of Melbourne after completing a Bachelor of Music (performance) at Monash University. Cassandra has vast experience in the disability sector as a volunteer, support worker and sibling, and accompanies this experience with a Certificate IV in Disability.

 

Cassandra is passionate about the support and advocacy of people from all walks of life, and the opportunities that music can offer in bringing people together. ‍

 

Over the years she has been heavily involved in many different ensembles and bands including Boroondara Brass Band, The Australian Youth Band, Melba Big Band, rock band FEVERDREAMS and folk ensemble Ungus Ungus Ungus. She has conducted the With One Voice Bayswater Choir and is passionate engaging in and facilitating community music groups. ‍

 

Cassandra also has experience teaching music (including brass, guitar and piano) to people of all ages and abilities.
